Text messaging service for business, from your company number

Customers text the number they know. With Youvoip, that is your business number, not an employee's personal mobile. The Youvoip text messaging service for business sends and receives SMS and MMS from company numbers in the mobile, desktop and web apps, so conversations stay with the company when people change roles. Business texting is on Business, Ultimate and Enterprise.

Business SMS and MMS from company numbers

Send appointment confirmations, delivery updates, photos of a job site or a quote as a picture, all from the same number customers call. Each person texts from their own business number, and shared numbers let a team answer texts together.

  • SMS and MMS from local business numbers.
  • Text threads in the iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and web apps.
  • Call and text history with the same contact in one place.
  • 5 shared numbers on Business and 20 on Ultimate for team lines.

Shared texting for the front desk and support

A shared number such as the main line or the support line can have several people on it. Everyone sees the thread, anyone can reply, and the customer sees one conversation from one number. When a colleague is out, nothing gets stuck in a personal phone. When someone leaves the company, their business number and its threads stay with the company and can be given to the person who takes over.

10DLC carrier registration, guided from the admin console

US carriers require businesses that text from local numbers to register the company and the kind of messages it sends. This registration is called 10DLC. Youvoip guides you through it from the admin console: you enter your business details and describe how you use texting, and the console shows the status of the registration until your numbers are approved for texting.

Follow up on missed calls by text

Some callers will not leave a voicemail but will reply to a text. When the missed calls list in call analytics software shows a caller who hung up, your team can send a short text from the business number and continue the conversation there. A text is also a simple way to send details that are hard to read out on a call, such as an address, a reference number or a link to a form.

Business, Ultimate and Enterprise include SMS and MMS from company numbers. Essentials includes calling, voicemail, recording and analytics, but not texting.

Can several people answer texts on one number?

Yes. Shared numbers let a team see and answer the same text threads. Business includes 5 shared numbers and Ultimate 20.
