IVR system and auto attendant for every business line
A caller should know within ten seconds that they reached the right company and how to get to the right person. The Youvoip IVR system greets every caller with your business name, offers a clear menu and sends each choice to a ring group, a queue, a single person or voicemail. It follows your business hours and holiday schedules on its own, and it is included on every plan, not sold as an add-on.
An auto attendant that sounds like your front desk
The auto attendant answers when the front desk is busy, at lunch or closed. You write the greeting in the admin console and choose separate greetings for open hours, after hours and holidays, so callers never hear "we are open" on a public holiday.
- Main greeting, after hours greeting and holiday greeting per number.
- Menu keys 0 to 9, with a spoken option for each department.
- A default action when the caller presses nothing, such as the front desk ring group.
- Dial by extension for callers who already know who they need.
A multi-level IVR menu without a technician
Some calls need a second question. Press 2 for support, then 1 for billing questions and 2 for technical help. Youvoip builds multi-level menus in a visual call flow editor in the browser, so the office manager changes a menu in minutes instead of opening a ticket with a PBX vendor. Every branch ends in a destination you choose: a ring group, a call queue on Business and above, a single user, a mobile number or a voicemail box.
Business hours and holiday schedules
Set opening hours per day and time zone, then add holidays once for the year. During hours the menu routes to your team; after hours it can offer voicemail, an emergency on-call number or a message with your opening times. Several locations on Ultimate each keep their own hours and menu.
Advanced IVR with data dips on Ultimate
On Ultimate, the IVR system can look up the caller before the menu plays. A data dip checks the caller number or an account number the caller types and routes known callers straight to their account manager or the right team, while new callers hear the standard menu.

IVR system questions
What is the difference between an IVR system and an auto attendant?
The auto attendant is the greeting and menu that answers the call and transfers it. An IVR system can also collect input, such as an account number, and act on it. Youvoip includes the auto attendant with a multi-level menu on every plan, and advanced IVR with data dips on Ultimate.
How do I set up the greeting?
Type the greeting in the admin console for each situation: open hours, after hours and holidays. The call flow editor shows the full menu next to the greeting, so you can check every branch before you save.
Can each department have its own menu?
Yes. Any menu option can open a second menu, and each branch ends in a ring group, queue, user, mobile number or voicemail box.
Do I need a separate number for the auto attendant?
No. The auto attendant answers your main number. You can also point several numbers, such as a toll-free line and a local line, to the same menu.
Build the menu your callers will hear
Try the call flow in the demo, then create your account and put the same menu on your own number.
