Nextiva plans and prices

The prices below are copied from nextiva.com/pricing as published in September 2026. Nextiva has restructured its plans several times since 2024 (older reviews still quote Digital, Core, Engage and Power Suite at $20 to $60), so confirm the numbers with its sales team before you sign.

Plan Billed yearly Billed monthly Key limits
Core $15 per user $23 per user 100 texts per user, recording and CRM are add-ons
Engage $25 per user $50 per user 500 texts, 1 toll-free number with up to 2,000 minutes, recording and CRM are add-ons
Scale $75 per user, term not stated $75 per user, term not stated Unlimited texts, recording included, up to 10,000 toll-free minutes, CRM is an add-on
Enterprise contact center From $75 per agent Quoted by sales Essential, Professional and Premium tiers

Core covers voice, SMS, video meetings, screen sharing, call routing, team chat, the mobile app and the auto attendant. Engage adds customer SMS, a toll-free number, advanced reporting, an inbound call center, live chat, a chatbot and simple IVR routing. Scale adds blended inbound and outbound calling, AI transcription and call summaries, skills-based routing and journey orchestration. An AI receptionist called XBert is sold as an add-on on every plan, priced by sales.

The 12-month term behind the low price

Nextiva's footnote is the most important line on its pricing page. The annual small business rates apply to new customers with 1 to 100 employees signing a paid 12-month or longer minimum term agreement. Without the term, Core costs 53 percent more and Engage costs twice as much. A 10 person team on Engage pays $250 a month on the contract and $500 a month without it, a difference of $3,000 a year. Before you sign, ask how the term renews and what it costs to leave early, and put the answer in writing.

Nextiva add-on fees that change the bill

The seat price rarely matches the invoice. These are the charges buyers most often add to a Nextiva quote.

  • Call recording: an add-on on Core and Engage. Offices that record calls for training, disputes or compliance pay extra unless they move to Scale at $75.
  • CRM integrations: Salesforce, HubSpot and other CRMs are listed as an add-on on Core, Engage and Scale.
  • Toll-free number: an add-on on Core, included on Engage with up to 2,000 minutes.
  • Extra local numbers: reported at about $5 per number per month in 2026 reviews.
  • XBert AI receptionist: an add-on on every plan, quoted by sales.
  • Setup and usage fees: Nextiva notes that features may involve extra setup, licensing or usage fees.

Taxes, E911 and regulatory recovery fees come on top, as with every US provider, and they vary by state. Ask for an all-in quote so you compare the same thing across vendors.

How much Nextiva costs by team size

Here is what a US team pays per month for Nextiva Engage, the plan most small offices end up on, before taxes, fees and add-ons. Youvoip Business is shown for comparison because it includes call recording and HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho integrations in the seat price.

Team Nextiva Engage, yearly Nextiva Engage, monthly Youvoip Business, yearly or monthly
1 user $25 $50 $39 or $78
3 users $75 $150 $58.50 or $117
5 users $125 $250 $97.50 or $195
10 users $250 $500 $195 or $390
25 users $625 $1,250 $487.50 or $975

The honest reading: on a 12-month term, Youvoip Business at $19.50 is $5.50 per seat below Engage, and Essentials at $12.50 is $2.50 below Core for teams that only need calling. On monthly billing Youvoip Business is $11 per user cheaper than Engage. Youvoip bills at least two seats, so a one-person business pays $39 a month on Business billed yearly against $25 on Engage. The gap grows once you add call recording and a CRM connection to Nextiva, because both are part of the Youvoip plan price.

Which Nextiva plan do you need?

Core fits a small office that needs a main number, an auto attendant and mobile apps, and does not record calls or log them in a CRM. Engage fits teams that want a toll-free line, live chat on the website and better reports. Scale fits a real contact center with outbound campaigns and skills-based routing. The trap for small businesses is buying Core or Engage on a yearly term and then finding that recording and CRM logging are extras. Write down whether you need both before you ask for a quote.

Is Nextiva worth the money?

Nextiva is good value for businesses that want phone, website chat, a chatbot and a contact center from one vendor and are happy to sign for a year. Engage at $25 per user with a toll-free number and 2,000 minutes is a fair price on those terms. It is harder to justify for a small office that needs recording and a CRM connection, pays month to month, or never touches the chat and contact center tools it is paying for.

What you get for the same budget on Youvoip

Every Youvoip seat is a full phone line, with a minimum of two seats and no contract. On Essentials, $12.50 per user per month billed yearly or $25 monthly, each user gets a number, a multi-level auto attendant, ring groups with simultaneous and sequential ringing, voicemail to email with transcription, call recording kept for 90 days and call analytics with missed calls and answer rate per person. Business, at $19.50 yearly or $39 monthly, adds business texting, call queues, a year of searchable recordings, HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho integrations, whisper and barge for team leads and video meetings, plus 5 shared company numbers. Youvoip does not offer website live chat, a chatbot or an AI receptionist, so if those are why you are buying, Nextiva is the stronger fit.

Nextiva costs $15 to $25 per user per month on a 12-month term, or $23 to $50 per user month to month, for its Core and Engage small business plans. Scale is $75 per user. Call recording on Core and Engage, CRM integrations, extra numbers, taxes and regulatory fees are added on top.

Does Nextiva have a free plan?

No. Nextiva does not sell a free business phone plan, and all small business plans are paid per user. You can book a demo with its sales team. To test a phone system yourself before paying, build a call flow in the Youvoip VoIP demo and hear it run in your browser.

Is Nextiva cheaper than RingCentral?

On entry plans, usually yes. Nextiva Core is $15 per user on a 12-month term, while RingCentral's entry plan, RingEX Core, is reported at $20 yearly and $30 monthly in 2026 reviews. Compare the plan you would actually buy, including recording, CRM integrations and fees. Our RingCentral alternative page covers RingCentral's side.

Leaving Nextiva without a gap in service

Start with your agreement. Find the end date of your term and the notice it requires, because leaving early on a term contract can cost money, and keeping that date in a system that tracks every vendor contract renewal date is the easiest way not to miss the window next time. Download the call recordings and voicemails you must keep. Then set up the new menu, ring groups and voicemail boxes, invite the team and test while Nextiva keeps answering. Submit the port for every number, including toll-free lines, and cancel Nextiva after calls arrive on the new system. Our guide on how to port a business phone number lists the documents you need.
