Ooma Office plans and prices

Ooma publishes its business prices, which makes it easier to compare than quote-only vendors. Every plan is per user, per month, with no contract necessary. The list below is the US price list from Ooma's plans page and its rates and fees page.

Plan Price per user Main additions
Essentials $19.95 a month Calling, virtual receptionist, fax
Pro $24.95 a month Recording, desktop app, texting
Pro Plus $29.95 a month Queues, CRM, hot desking, AI notes
Enterprise Custom quote SIP trunking, Teams, call center

Ooma does not list a yearly discount for Office plans, so the monthly price is also the yearly price. One user on Essentials is $239.40 a year, on Pro $299.40 and on Pro Plus $359.40, before taxes and fees. A 10 person office on Pro pays $2,994 a year.

What each Ooma Office plan includes

Essentials covers the basic office phone. Each user gets an extension and a local number, unlimited calling in the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico, the mobile app, a virtual receptionist (Ooma's phone menu), one toll-free number and virtual fax, plus the standard list of features such as call park, music on hold and ring groups.

Pro adds the things most offices notice they are missing within a few months: the desktop app, call recording, voicemail transcription, enhanced call blocking, video meetings for up to 25 people and business texting with 250 messages a month.

Pro Plus is the plan for a team that handles volume. It adds call queuing, hot desking, CRM integration, team chat, AI transcriptions and AI insights, video for up to 100 participants and 1,000 texts a month. Enterprise adds SIP trunking, Microsoft Teams direct routing, call center tools and custom implementation, and goes through sales.

Ooma fees and add-ons that change the bill

The seat price is clear, but a few items move the monthly total. These are the ones listed on Ooma's own rates and pricing chart pages.

  • Additional phone numbers cost $9.95 per number per month.
  • Toll-free minute plans cost $15 a month for 1,500 minutes or $30 for 3,000 minutes, with overage at 2.9 or 2.4 cents a minute.
  • Text messages above the plan allowance cost $0.0095 each, and the 250 or 1,000 message allowance is per account, not per user.
  • Bulk text packs run from $20 for 3,000 messages upward.
  • International calls outside the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico are billed per minute from a prepaid balance.
  • Taxes and regulatory fees vary by locale and are added to every line.
  • Desk phones are bought separately, and shipping is $9.99 per order.

Ooma also sells AI add-ons, including an AI receptionist and an AI answering service, but prices them through sales. If after-hours calls are the reason you are looking, compare it with a standalone AI receptionist that answers your business calls before you add it to every Ooma line.

How much Ooma costs by team size

Here is what a US team pays per month on Ooma Office before taxes, fees and hardware. The Youvoip columns are shown for comparison, yearly billing first and month to month second. Youvoip Essentials already includes call recording and a phone menu, Business adds queues, texting and CRM, and Youvoip bills at least two seats.

Team Ooma Pro Ooma Pro Plus Essentials
1 user $24.95 $29.95 $25 or $50
3 users $74.85 $89.85 $37.50 or $75
5 users $124.75 $149.75 $62.50 or $125
10 users $249.50 $299.50 $125 or $250
25 users $623.75 $748.75 $312.50 or $625

Youvoip Business, which adds queues, texting and CRM like Ooma Pro Plus, is $19.50 per user yearly or $39 monthly, so 10 users pay $195 or $390 a month against $299.50 on Pro Plus.

The honest reading: a solo user pays less on Ooma, because of the Youvoip two-seat minimum. Month to month, Ooma Pro and Youvoip Essentials are five cents apart, and Ooma Pro Plus at $29.95 is $9.05 below Youvoip Business. On yearly billing, Youvoip costs about half as much at every team size from three users up.

Which Ooma Office plan do you need?

Pick Essentials if you only need a main number, a phone menu and calling inside North America, and nobody has to review calls later. Pick Pro if you record calls for training, disputes or compliance, or if staff work from a laptop and need the desktop app. Pick Pro Plus if calls wait in line during busy hours, if you want calls logged in your CRM, or if several people share desks. The common mistake is buying Essentials for its price, then moving every seat to Pro the first time a customer disputes what was said on a call. Price the plan you will need in six months, not the one you need today.

Is Ooma Office worth the money?

Ooma Office is good value for a small office that wants a simple, reliable phone service with plug-in desk phones and no contract. Unlimited calling to Mexico and Puerto Rico and included virtual fax are real extras, and integrations with Clio, QuickBooks Online and Jobber suit law firms, bookkeepers and trades. It gets expensive when you need recording and queues on every seat, because those features push the whole team to Pro or Pro Plus at monthly rates with no yearly discount. A 10 person office paying $299.50 a month on Pro Plus spends $3,594 a year.

What you get for the same budget on Youvoip

Every Youvoip seat is a full phone line, with a minimum of two seats, no contract and the price on the page. On Essentials, $12.50 per user per month billed yearly or $25 monthly, each user gets a number, a multi-level auto attendant with business hours and holidays, ring groups, voicemail to email with transcription, automatic call recording kept 90 days, call analytics with missed calls and answer rate per person, and support for compatible SIP desk phones. Business, at $19.50 yearly or $39 monthly, adds business texting, call queues with wait time announcements, a year of searchable recordings, HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho integrations, whisper and barge, and video meetings for up to 100 people. Youvoip does not offer fax and includes unlimited calling in the US and Canada only.

Ooma pricing questions

How much does Ooma cost per month for a business?

Ooma Office costs $19.95 per user per month on Essentials, $24.95 on Pro and $29.95 on Pro Plus, according to ooma.com in October 2026. Extra numbers add $9.95 each, and taxes and fees vary by location. A five person office on Pro pays $124.75 a month before taxes.

Does Ooma Office require a contract?

No. Ooma Office plans are month to month with no contract necessary, so you can add or remove users and cancel without an early termination fee. The trade-off is that Ooma does not list a yearly discount, so you pay the monthly rate for as long as you stay.

Are there hidden fees with Ooma Office?

The seat prices are published, but the bill also carries taxes and regulatory fees that vary by location, $9.95 per extra number, text overage at $0.0095 per message, international minutes and desk phone purchases. Ask for an all-in monthly estimate that includes your state's taxes before you sign up.

What are Ooma taxes and fees?

Ooma adds four kinds of charges on top of the plan price: a Regulatory Compliance Fee that recovers FCC and filing costs, a 911 Service Fee, the Federal Universal Service Charge, and state and local taxes and surcharges. The amounts depend on your service address, and the itemized list appears in the billing details in My Ooma. Ooma also offers a tax calculator, so ask for an all-in estimate before comparing it with another provider.

Is there a free version of Ooma for business?

No. Ooma Office has no free business plan, and its Ooma Telo home service is a residential product, not an office phone system. To test a phone menu before you pay anyone, build a call flow in the Youvoip VoIP demo and hear it run in your browser.

Leaving Ooma without a gap in service

Because Ooma Office is month to month, leaving is mostly about timing. Download the call recordings and voicemails you need, because they stay in the Ooma account. Set up the new menu, ring groups and voicemail boxes, register desk phones that are SIP compatible, invite the team and test while Ooma keeps answering. Submit the port for every number, including toll-free and fax lines, and cancel Ooma only after calls arrive on the new system. Our guide on how to port a business phone number lists the documents you need.
