Vonage pricing and Vonage plans with business cost by team size
Vonage Business Communications pricing is $19.99 per line per month for Mobile, $29.99 for Premium and $39.99 for Advanced on monthly billing for 1 to 4 lines. An annual plan takes 30% off, to $13.99, $20.99 and $27.99, but it is a one-year contract with an early termination fee. The per-line rate drops at 5, 10 and 20 lines, and 100 lines and up are quoted by sales. Taxes, regulatory fees and add-ons come on top. These figures come from Vonage's own plans and pricing page as archived on September 4, 2026.
Vonage plans and prices by number of lines
Vonage publishes its Business Communications (VBC) prices, which puts it ahead of quote-only vendors. What most summaries miss is that the price depends on how many lines you buy. The table shows the monthly list price per line for each size band, with the annual contract price after the 30% discount on the row below it.
| Lines and billing | Mobile | Premium | Advanced |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 4, monthly | $19.99 | $29.99 | $39.99 |
| 1 to 4, annual | $13.99 | $20.99 | $27.99 |
| 5 to 19, monthly | $17.99 | $27.99 | $37.99 |
| 5 to 19, annual | $12.59 | $19.59 | $26.59 |
| 20 to 99, monthly | $14.99 | $24.99 | $34.99 |
| 20 to 99, annual | $10.49 | $17.49 | $24.49 |
| 100 and up | Quote | Quote | Quote |
One local company number is included with online purchases, and its monthly charge is waived for the life of the account. The 30% discount applies to the voice extension charge only, on online orders of up to 99 lines. It does not apply to add-ons, features, hardware or one-time charges.
What each Vonage plan includes
Mobile is an app-only plan. Each line gets the mobile and desktop apps, unlimited domestic calling, business SMS and MMS, voicemail with voicemail to email, number porting and the virtual receptionist, Vonage's phone menu. It does not support desk phones.
Premium is the plan Vonage marks as most popular. It adds VoIP desk phone support, unlimited video meetings for up to 200 participants, team messaging, single sign-on and the VBC App Center, a library of more than 20 third-party integrations with CRMs and productivity tools.
Advanced adds on-demand call recording with 15 hours a month, visual voicemail with transcription and call groups that ring several extensions at once. If you need to record calls at all on Vonage, Advanced is the starting point, and automatic recording of every call is sold separately as an add-on.
Annual contract or month to month on Vonage
This is the decision that changes the bill most. On an annual plan you pay 30% less for the life of the service, but you commit to a one-year term. Vonage's terms say cancelling during that term is subject to early termination fees that can range up to the total price of your service contract. On a monthly plan you pay full list price and can leave without a termination fee, though Vonage gives no refund for the rest of the month.
For a 10 person office on Advanced, the difference is $379.90 a month on monthly billing against $265.90 under contract, so the contract saves $1,368 a year. That saving is real, but it is also what you would owe in fees if the team shrinks or the system does not work out in month four. Vonage settled with the Federal Trade Commission in 2022 for $100 million over how hard it made cancelling, so read the cancellation terms before you sign.
Vonage add-ons and fees that change the bill
The seat price is the start of the bill, not the end. Vonage's own footnotes say taxes and fees are not included and that Campaign Registry fees apply to business texting registration. Comparison guides published in 2026, including CloudTalk's August 2026 breakdown, list these add-ons and surcharges:
- Automatic call recording at $49.99 a month, separate from the on-demand recording in Advanced
- Call queues at $14.99 a month
- Toll-free numbers at $39.99 per number a month
- Conference bridges and paperless fax at $14.99 a month each
- A Salesforce integration at $4.99 a month
- A recovery fee of about $3.50 per extension a month and a 911 fee of about $1.99 per line
- Federal, state and local taxes that vary by location
CloudTalk estimates the real bill runs 30% to 40% above the seat price once fees, taxes and common add-ons are counted. Ask Vonage for an all-in quote for your state before signing. And when the invoice arrives with a dozen surcharge lines every month, routing it through accounts payable automation saves someone from retyping each fee into the books.
How much Vonage costs by team size
Here is what a US team pays per month on Vonage Advanced, the plan with call recording, at the tiered rate for each size, before taxes, fees and add-ons. The Youvoip column is shown for comparison, yearly billing first and month to month second. Youvoip Essentials already includes automatic recording and a phone menu, and Youvoip bills at least two seats.
| Team | Advanced annual | Advanced monthly | Essentials |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 user | $27.99 | $39.99 | $25 or $50 |
| 3 users | $83.97 | $119.97 | $37.50 or $75 |
| 5 users | $132.95 | $189.95 | $62.50 or $125 |
| 10 users | $265.90 | $379.90 | $125 or $250 |
| 25 users | $612.25 | $874.75 | $312.50 or $625 |
Youvoip Business, which adds queues, texting and CRM, is $19.50 per user yearly or $39 monthly, so 10 users pay $195 or $390 a month.
The honest reading: a solo user is about level, because of the Youvoip two-seat minimum. If you do not need recording or desk phones, Vonage Mobile at $13.99 under contract is cheaper than anything above. Once recording matters, Youvoip Essentials on yearly billing costs less than half of Vonage Advanced under contract at every size from three users up, and month to month it costs 29% to 37% less, without a contract.
Which Vonage plan do you need?
Pick Mobile if everyone works from a cell phone or laptop, you need a main number, texting and a phone menu, and nobody reviews calls later. Pick Premium if reception or the warehouse needs desk phones, if you hold video meetings, or if you want a CRM link from the App Center. Pick Advanced if you record calls for training, disputes or compliance, or need call groups. The common mistake is buying Premium under a one-year contract, then needing recording three months later and paying Advanced on every line for the rest of the term. Price the plan you will need at renewal, not the one you need today.
Is Vonage Business worth the money?
Vonage is good value for a team that wants calling, video meetings and team chat in one app, uses Microsoft Teams or Salesforce heavily, or plans to grow into a contact center. The volume tiers reward larger teams, and 20 to 99 lines on an annual Premium plan at $17.49 is competitive. It gets expensive for a small office that needs recording on every seat, because that pushes everyone to Advanced, and the best price needs a contract with a fee that can equal the full contract value. A 10 person office on Advanced under contract spends $3,190.80 a year before fees.
What you get for the same budget on Youvoip
Every Youvoip seat is a full phone line, with a minimum of two seats, no contract and the price on the page. On Essentials, $12.50 per user per month billed yearly or $25 monthly, each user gets a number, a multi-level auto attendant with business hours and holidays, ring groups, voicemail to email with transcription, automatic call recording kept 90 days, call analytics with missed calls and answer rate per person, and support for compatible SIP desk phones. Business, at $19.50 yearly or $39 monthly, adds business texting, call queues with wait time announcements, a year of searchable recordings, HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho integrations, whisper and barge, and video meetings for up to 100 people. Youvoip includes unlimited calling in the US and Canada and does not offer fax.

Vonage pricing questions
How much does Vonage cost per month for a business?
Vonage Business Communications costs $19.99 per line on Mobile, $29.99 on Premium and $39.99 on Advanced for 1 to 4 lines on monthly billing, per Vonage's pricing page archived in September 2026. Annual contracts cut that by 30%, and rates fall at 5, 10 and 20 lines. Taxes, fees and add-ons are extra.
Does Vonage Business have a contract?
Annual plans are a one-year contract, and cancelling during the term triggers an early termination fee that can reach the total contract price. Monthly plans have no termination fee but cost about 43% more per line than the annual price, and the remainder of the month is not refunded.
Does Vonage include call recording?
Only on Advanced, which includes 15 hours a month of on-demand recording, where staff start and stop recording on each call. Recording every call automatically is a separate add-on. On Youvoip, automatic and on-demand recording are included on every plan, starting with Essentials.
How much is the Vonage Mobile plan?
The Vonage Mobile plan costs $19.99 per line per month on monthly billing for 1 to 4 lines, or $13.99 on an annual contract, dropping to $14.99 and $10.49 at 20 to 99 lines. It is an app-only business plan for smartphones and computers with unlimited domestic calling, SMS and the virtual receptionist. It is not cell phone service and does not support desk phones.
Are there hidden fees with Vonage Business?
The seat prices are published, but the bill also carries taxes, a recovery fee per extension, 911 fees, Campaign Registry fees for texting and paid add-ons such as call queues, toll-free numbers and automatic recording. Ask for an all-in monthly estimate for your state before you sign an annual contract.
Leaving Vonage without a gap in service
Start with the contract, not the phones. If you are on an annual plan, find the term end date in the admin portal and plan the move to finish just before renewal, so there is no early termination fee. Download the call recordings and voicemails you need. Set up the new menu, ring groups and voicemail boxes, register desk phones that are SIP compatible, invite the team and test while Vonage keeps answering. Submit the port for every number, including toll-free lines, and cancel Vonage only after calls arrive on the new system. Our guide on how to port a business phone number lists the documents you need.
